As his Major League Soccer rights move to Toronto FC, Canadian soccer player Alphonso Davies is partnering with Northside Media Group for a program featuring his childhood friend and MLS MVP favorite Sebastian Giovinco.

The Alphonso Davies/Sebastian Giovinco NFT will air on Sept. 8 on City 97.3, a Montreal radio station known for its focus on football and culture and home to the popular Montreal Outlaws soccer team.

It is already available on Premiere 5 television in Canada and elsewhere.

Davies started his pro career with B.C. FC, which plays in the USL, last year. He was the youngest player in the league, at age 15, and even though he played sparingly his 16 starts were impressive. He was also a fan favorite as well, through his enthusiastic live performances at home games and vibrant, engaging off-the-field social media feed.

In June, his MLS rights were transferred to Toronto FC. The 21-year-old led the league in scoring last season with 20 goals and 13 assists in just 24 starts.

On the off-season before his team’s playoff run, which resulted in the second championship in Toronto FC history, Giovinco gave Davies a shoutout by tweeting, “Congratulations to my young brother Alphonso Davies. Enjoy this ride!! You showed everyone last year you were the best player in the league and you will still be that this year. #TDCB👏👏👏👏#SpreadTheLove.”
