Britney Spears is embracing the end of her conservatorship. One of the 25-year-old’s most recent Instagram stories shows her relaxing on a private plane, she is enjoying some solo time with her two sons Jayden James, 12, and Sean Preston, 11, and her family. While this is not the first time Spears has hinted at wanting to focus on her career, this also isn’t the first time the pop icon has looked relaxed and happy after the death of her estranged father.
Spears and her mother Lynne were placed under a conservatorship in 2008, a year after Spears was hospitalized for mental health reasons. But after long-running legal battles, Spears won control over her own life in October, ultimately gaining majority control over her finances.
Spears recently opened up about her recent victory and what she plans to do next. “Feeling so good … I’m back to work.. Everyone make sure to spread the positivity I have here….. The supreme DJ says it’s a state of mind, and that’s the one I live in,” she wrote in a tweet. “I am in a good place and can’t wait to get back to the music and being creative with my fans,” she continued.

Spears’ fans certainly seem to be on board, with more than 30,000 people following the singer on Instagram and more than 73,000 “likes” in three days on her new bio page.
So are there still a few upsets ahead for the singer? While her single “Slumber Party” seems to be well on its way to success, her album Glory received mixed reviews, so we will just have to keep our eyes open for what’s coming next from Spears.
