Kylian Mbappé and Lionel Messi inspired Paris Saint-Germain to a 5-2 victory over Barcelona to progress to the Champions League play-off round.
The Parisian side moved one step closer to winning the competition after winning the second leg of their playoff tie, with the home side reaching a 5-2 aggregate victory.
PSG, who finished third in Ligue 1 behind Monaco and Lille, racked up 16 shots on goal in the first half. Messi scored in the 28th minute, but the France international Mbappé turned the game with a stunning equaliser on the stroke of half-time and a second just after the break, when he fired in a loose ball to put PSG ahead.

Thiago Silva scored twice in quick succession to give the visitors a comfortable lead, with Neymar replying from the penalty spot in the 74th minute.
Barcelona, who failed to reach the Champions League final for the second season in a row, tried to get back into the game in the second half and moved to within a goal of the visitors, but left José Pékerman’s side in control.
